When engineers design AGI, who gets left behind?

Inspirited AI is an Applied Research Lab teaching AI soft skills. We're betting that the next great leap in AI requires emotionally intelligent AI that center, anticipate, and act on human needs.

We define the Human-AI Frontier as our primary field of research. Research at this frontier will become increasingly important as the surface area between humans and AI grows over the next five years.

The winning models and agents must be able to effectively anticipate and understand human needs, as well as execute on these needs. While alignment remains crucial for encoding human values, empathy will be required for models to act on these values.

Building emotionally intelligent AI will require an interdisciplinary team composed both of experts in AI development and research, as well as experts in humanity – nurses, creatives, salespeople, and others with the training to deeply perceive and process human emotions.
